I am so sorry to learn that Tom is not with us anymore. I met Tom in 2003. He organized a conference in Southwestern. I only met him for a short time. However I was really impressed by his personality and achievements.

My sincerest sympathy to all of the family. I knew Tom when I worked with him in Dallas 97-2001. I thought he was a genuinely nice person and thoughtful surgeon. I hope his children know how he was a respected surgeon in his field and they can be very proud of their Dad.

Dear family of Thomas Anthony,

I am so sorry to hear of your suddden and tragic loss. I did not know Thomas myself , he was a friend of my brother Patrick Ross from Centereach and a neighborhood friend James Coyle as well.
I actually went to school with James Anthony CHS '75 and can not imagine losing a brother so young.
Heartfelt sympathy to all of you.

Feel privileged to have known Tom even for a brief few months. What a wonderful man. Evident in every way his love for his family. Am so very sorry for your loss.

Dr. Anthony was a pleasure to know and work with as a professional and person. He gave me public support as a contributor to the care of veterans at the Dallas VA. It's sad to lose an man of such quality man at his age. He was the nicest surgeon I have ever known; they can be difficult but he was different. I am saddened by his death. I take solace in the fact that he died in a beautiful place, may he rest in peace. Anyone who knew Tom was lucky to have met such a man.

Tom was an admired colleague and friend. Those of us who were fortunate to work with him will always be touched by his calm and solid intellect. But his love of family and nature were his most memorable traits. We are so affected by his loss, and pray that the love that bound you as his family will sustain you.- Rosa Ceunca and Gordon Downie
