I know your grief must be heavy, to lose a child is profoundly humbling.

May your faith bear him above the above the abyss to the happy hunting ground.

Thanks to your letter, we will have an obituary in the November Review.

Walter, Loraine, & Sally,
Our hearts are heavy with the loss of Dub. Marianne & I were reminiscing about their high school days at Thomas Jefferson, and I remember our mom describing the carpool as "the Dawn Patrol". He was so talented and I thought he was pretty cute, too! Years ago, he was my escort for a debutante ball, and when we walked into the country club, there was a piano and he just sat down & started to play! I was amazed at his skill, as I'd never heard him play the piano before. He was much more interested in playing the piano than dancing! We are so sorry about his death but know he is entertaining everyone up in Heaven!

Fondly,

Marianne Votteler & Karen Votteler Carreon

Deepest sympathy to to all the family & friends .
Walt lives on in my mind & heart . His sweet smile will not be forgotten.
From his roof top perch next door he would watch me sweep my driveway. Always with a smile on his face.
From my driveway I waved goodbye as he left for college. A few months later I greeting him home from my driveway . He ask "have you been on the driveway the whole time I was gone?" Then that wonderful smile came over his face
With love,
Betty Clements

I miss you Walt yet feel your presence. I remember sitting at the table not long ago sharing about the Goodman family and our history. You were an astute student of life. Always eager to smile, laugh or hug. I will carry your spirit with me always. With love.
