How sad to hear of Bill's passing - although I'm sure he's with his beloved Jeannie now, my heartfelt sympathy goes out to his children and grandchildren at this time. I have known Bill since I was in the 5th grade at Danvers Grade School and he was in the 8th grade with my brother, Tom. I will always remember his smiling face and upbeat personality. The last e-mail I received from him was November 6th in which he said he was doing fine and updated me on his wonderful family of which he was quite proud! He also reminisced about how he taught me to drive his stick-shift Ford when he and Jeannie (my best friend) were dating! I will miss him.

The message received on November 11th from Bill reminded us to contact him as soon as we returned from Illinois for a breakfast at the Allen Café. Reconnecting with him recently served as a reminder of what a great guy he was and how much we looked forward to spending a little time with him to talk of old times, the Cubs, family, and Illinois memories. He will be missed by both of us. Great guy. To the family sincere condolences.
