To family and friends of Darrel Akerfelds, please find comfort in God's inspired word the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16).

Deepest sympathy to the Akerfelds family. My son, Kevin Bledsoe, played baseball with Darrel's brother, Duane, and also attended Columbine High School. Their Dad coached Kevin's team and Darrel was always encouraging the younger boys. We have very fond memories of those days.

Our deepest sympathy to the Akerfelds family. My son, Kevin Bledsoe, played Baseball with Darrel's brother, Duane, and also attended Columbine High School. Darrel was always there to encourage the younger boys and instruct them. We have such fond memories of those days...we will always remember!

Dear Ackerfelds Family,

We are so sorry to hear about the death of Darrel. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. He was a special guy, as were his brothers at Ken Caryl Junior High, and we now celebrate his life and remember him with joy.

I played with Ak at Mesa State, he brought so many scouts in to see him pitch and he did not disappoint. I have thought alot about our times together, many made me laugh. I will miss you Ak.

To the family,

Even though I only met Darrel once, he was a wonderful guy. He was once married to my favorite great niece, who has always been precious to me and has always had a wonderful personality. I know Darrel will be missed tremendously by his family, especially his son, Dalton and our sympathies go out to everyone who knew and loved Darrel. May God bless you, Rachel, Dalton, Rosemary and Kent.
