I used to watch Dr. Creep as a kid growing up in Huber Heights, Ohio. Some of my fondest memories are of watching horror films hosted by Dr. creep and coming home from school and watching Clubhouse 22. I feel as though I've lost a friend and a part of my youth. What a legacy, to know that you are so fondly remembered by a generation. Although I'm long gone from Ohio, Dr. Creep won't be far from my heart. Rip my friend...

I have always been into Horror and Sci-Fi films and when I was around 5 or 6 my brother returned from school after a field trip to the old Kettering Theater with Transformers in hand (a prize he won) and he was telling me about meeting DR. CREEP. He could care less that Santa or McGruff The Crime Dog was there, it was all about the Horror Host. After talking about Dr. Creep for some time, our Mom let us stay up that weekend and watch our first episode of Shock Theater and we were both hooked. Years had passed and Shock Theater had went off the air, but the void was filled again when in 1999 "The New Shock Theater" hit bringing Dr. Creep back to to TV. Andy Copp and Rick Martin were the guys behind this and after becoming friends with them, I became friends with Dr. Creep as well! It's odd, I have met many Hollywood Stars/Wrestlers/Rock Stars in my time but Dr. Creep was the only one that made me feel like a kid all over again. And I got to know not only the character Dr. Creep, but I also got to know the man, Barry Hobart. I wish Barry and I would have been able work on some of the ideas we had, but his health was in decline and we never did get to work on another rebirth of his show. I am honored to have worked with him on his DVD releases and Horrorama (Charity Event,) and seeing the smile that they brought to his face was an absolute privilege. I will miss Barry a lot but I will always remember his friendship and the inspiration he instilled in me, making me the creative person I am today. Love and Miss you my friend.
