I knew Eric from our trip to Hawaii with CHS' Field Studies. He was a bright, charismatic guy and he brought a lot of fun and humor to that amazing trip. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Rest in peace, Eric. You will be so dearly missed <3

Eric was one of the funniest, brightest and artistic people I know. We didn't see much of each other after high school, but still kept in touch and I will miss our conversations. May you find peace and know that you are missed.

I haven't seen Eric face-to-face in some years, but he was a guy with whom I spent so much time as a kid that I considered our friendship unconditional and forever. The neighborhood friendships we experience while growing up are special in that way. I always enjoyed Eric's company--especially his intellect, sharp sense of humor, and desire to have a great time--and upon hearing about this tragedy, I am absolutely devastated about having lazily allowed so much time to pass without having reconnected with him. It's a lesson learned the hard way. I love you, man.

To the Englers: It's hard to know what say...there's no doubt in my mind that anyone who knows you, even just a little bit, wants nothing but the best for you as you face this harsh reality. You are an absolutely amazing family, certainly the best Eric could've ever asked for. I'll be thinking about you every day.
