Francois, you were such a bright light to so many people that you touched. I don't think you had any idea what you meant to so many people. You were such a genuine soul and you made everyone feel like they were the most important person around you. Your smile lit up the room. Thank you for the influence you had on so many, and you did in fact leave a legacy that so many will try to mimic. Do not rest, but shake it all up in the heavens!
Life was too short for you!! Still you left unforgettable character of greatness, respecting God, your family, the community and the World. Words cannot express how proud is every single parent who had chance to know you. I loved you and will continue to love you. Watch over young people left on the earth!!! I am sure God is happy to watch you playing games for Him and socializing with all the angels.
My prayers go out to the family and friends of Francois for your great loss. Francois, may you continue to be a bright Light to those you loved and to those who loved you.
Francois was a great friend and an even better person. Anyone that had the pleasure of knowing him would agree. He was always very kind and helpful every time we talked, and was always willing to listen. My prayers go out to his family. I know what is like to lose the person you love the most so unexpectedly, and its the worst feeling in the world. He will truly be missed greatly.

It's been a week since I have talked to you and I cannot get the last words that you said out of my head. When you said "I love you" and I said it back, I meant it. You truly were the firecracker that lit up my life, as well as everyone else you came into contact with. I still cannot believe that you are gone, but I know I will see you again one day. It's crazy to think how many lives you impacted in the short amount of time you were alive. 24 years is not long enough for someone to live their life to the fullest. You still had many years to come, and many more things to experience. You are such an amazing son, friend, Brother of God, and of course an awesome "Life Coach". You ALWAYS knew what to say to get me out of my slumps and I will forever be grateful for your live and friendship. I love you to the moon and back, Franny. Keep it real and have many dances with the God who brought our friendship together. xo
We love you Francois and will never forget the great times we all spent together. You were like a brother to Kyle Rose and my girls, Emma and Sarah, adored you as did I. We just spoke two weeks ago about going to Kyle's game in WVU. I can't tell you how sorry I am about not taking you to the game last year. You are already missed, but will always be in our hearts. We love you! Gigi, Emma and Sarah Earhart and Kyle Rose
My condolences to the family. May you find comfort in prayer and in one another.
RIP we will remember you my son and hope that we will meet again in heven.
Rest in peace brother you were a great mentor u will be greatly miss .
U were like a brother to me luv and miss u plus I hope to see u smile one day again in heaven and a grea. Mentor rest in peace always thinking about u
I've been at a loss for words since the moment I heard of your passing.
You were one of the most positive and influential people I have ever known. I'm surely going to miss getting texts on random nights to meet you out to play keno or go to whatever random bar you had in mind. This has been very hard for everyone.
Rest in peace Francois, you were a great friend. It's not goodbye, it's see you later
Coach the one thing I have burned in my mind from the two years I knew you, is after practice this year when you approached me. I was having a bad week of practice and you came up to me and asked where my drive and fire went that you saw in me in freshman year. I went home that night and thought about it and I relit my fire. That made me start improve in my playing. Though I never got a chance to thank you for that so I am now, thank you for inspiring me again to play my hardest and strive for perfection just like you. Rest in peace Coach Cios.
Francois Hagenimana was more then a friend to me, he was a brother, he had an influential role in my life to make me the man I am today. We have a long history with many ups and some downs but I knew I could count on him to be an loyal and kind person. He was always the life of the party throughout high school, college, and post grad. Now he is the life of the greatest party in existence. We must remember the time we had with him and not the time we lost. God bless. R.I.P. Francois, my brother.
What a wonderful young man! He will be missed.Sorry for your loss
My heart reaches out to Consolée and family. I remember going to his second grade classroom and meeting his teacher, who was so impressed with such a quick learner. Everyone loved Regis (Francois). May he live on through the good and joy he has inspired.

As I look at this guest book and your Facebook, I think it is a testament to how many lives you have touched with your beautiful personality. Everyone seems to have a memory of how you bettered their lives in one way or another. It breaks my heart to know that none of us will ever get to enjoy that privilege again but I have to believe you are in a better place and we will meet again some day. Your family and everyone else who was blessed enough to know you is in my prayers.
You were a teammate to one son and a coach to another...there is great sadness in our house. Thank you for being in their lives.
I don't know what to say except thank you for helping me become who I am today
Francios, thank you for blessing my family with your smiles. You were not only Donnie's roommate but one of his closest friends. I remember first meeting you in high school. We may not have been good friends, but you were such a great guy. Always smiling, laughing, and cracking jokes in class. Such a lovely personality that glowed and touched many lives. You will be greatly missed. Prayers out to you and your family. RIP <3
I cant believe you are gone. Last time I saw you, you were such a young boy with a huge smile. As I went through your Facebook, you had turned into such a handsome young man. RIP and the Rwandan Community loves you. Say Hi to all those we lost in our country.
I remember when you and your family first came to the United States. You came into my 2nd grade class and we became friends right away. I remember running down to your house either after school or on saturdays to play and watch the Power Rangers and eat Pop Tarts. You were such a great friend to me. You will be greatly missed. Your family will be in my prayers. God bless!
I would first like to say to the family i am incredibly sorry for the loss of Francois. Francois was more than a best friend to me he was my mentor and brother. I played at Ashland with him last year and i was also a DB. Coming in as a freshman it was very hard to adjust and right away he was there guiding me the whole time. We were always around each other all semester. whether it was playing video games , at practice joking around or at the church group we went to once a week. He taught me how to do the right things and how to have faith in god. he knew that I was going through somethings and always knew what to say. I can still hear his voice when I just sit in silence. I miss him so much and its almost unreal to me that he is gone. I left ashland after that semester and Francois and I remained friends and talked almost on a daily basis. We played video games together (playstation 3) practically every night so we were always competitive haha. I talked to him the morning he died and he said he would call me later and tell me about the win centerville had...I wish i could hear his voice again. Francois was a big influence in my life and i will always live on with me. I know he's watching over all of us. i will make him proud in every way that I can. I miss you Francois..god bless the family and friends.
I can not even begin to describe how heart broken I am. You were and always will be my favorite coach and role model. You saw greatness in me when it seemed like nobody else did. You will be there with me everyday, in the halls, on the field, and for the rest of my life. Every rep and every play I will try to strive for that greatness that I know you expect from me. I will never forget you and everyday I will try to honor you by being the best person I can be.
thanks for everything you taught me. im going to miss you but you will always be with me in my heart and head
A fantastic teammate and an even more terrific friend. I remember talking to you just two weeks ago about coming to a game and working out before you went off to become a SEAL. You will be greatly missed by all. Rest in peace, you will not be forgotten.

Dear Consolee, Emmanuel, Aphlodis, Adolphe, and Fina, We hope all of these beautiful memories bring you some comfort. Francois was a friend in younger years at Emmanuel Catholic Church ~ we loved it when he picked the original nickname Swa over Frank. We pray he is wrapped in Jesus' loving arms and greeted by, "Well done, good and faithful servant." God bless you all.
WOW.... so I never thought I would be writing in a guestbook for you, all the time we spent cracking jokes and u making fun of me, I wish I could go back to that! I feel myself fighting my tears back just thinking about how wonderful of a person u were... Everyone will miss u dearly

Thanks for making every weekend I spent in Columbus with you and the guys memorable and exciting. You were always full of life, energy, and spontaneity. My face would hurt from smiling and my stomach from laughing every time you were in the room. And thanks for not getting upset when I deflated an air mattress while you were laying on it :-) Put in a good word with the big guy up there for all of us!
My thoughts are with your family, friends and all of the students at Centerville High School.
I've never met someone so uplifting and generous. He always had a smile and the best advice. He was a great friend and I wish I had told him more often just how big of an impact he had on me.
Mama Consolee, brothers Emmanuel, Aphlodis, Adolphe, sister Fina & other family members. This is a terrible tragedy. Regi had a lot of faith, and his life toucehd thousands of people in such a positive way. Consolee, my heart breaks for you...I don't know how you can handle this news. Know that I am praying for each of you - thinking & praying constantly since Uncle Francis called me last night. It just doesn't seem possible. I love you all very much, and always will. I am sitting here with such a heavy heart and I am at a loss for words. I have been looking through my pictures of you when you were young and I can't believe you are gone. You and your family hold a special place in my heart and always will. I always wished we had lived closer so that I could have been active in your life. Love always from your friend and God Mother.
He was a great man, a great friend to all the people that came into contact with him. I wish I got the chance to know him better than I did. But the memories I do have of him will last forever. And I know he is looking down on all of us and smiling. This whole community was behind him and he will never be forgotten. My prayers go out to his family and friends. I pray for all of you and I hope in time you can have your hearts healed. Love always, God bless
I really appreciated you and the other older guys accepting me as if i knew you guys all along when i first moved to centerville. As i developed a relationship with you, you became like a brother to me who helped show me the ropes around. I am terribly sorry Francois. You seemed like an amazing person with so many plans for the future. Very sad. My condolences to your family and close friends
I can't believe this is real. I don't know how to explain how badly it hurts that you're gone. You were so incredibly kind, smart, funny. I don't understand why you were taken away from us so soon, but there is a bigger plan being implemented somehow. I hope you're looking down and see just how many people are affected by your passing. You were truly beloved by so many. I can't wait to see that big ol' smile again someday. I'll always hold you dear to my heart and soul, Swa. Rest in peace, my friend.

This is something my mom said that really touched me:
"I was in Florida yesterday on the beach with him and the football team. He was being thrown in the ocean by about 20 guys that thought the world of him. He was laughing and smiling from ear to ear. He was a lovely soul. There is a reason for everything God does and sometimes we don't know what that reason is but we need to trust that he knows what he is doing. Unfortunately we will have to wait a while to see Francois again, but he will always be with us; when you think of that beautiful smile or remember the times you had together he will be right by your side. His energy is all around now. Forever"

So tragic! My heart and prayers to his family and friends and the entire Centerville elks community. I ran across Francois when the wee elks got to play football with the high schoolers. He thought he could beat the entire 5th grade gold football team at tug of war, he filled us with laughter. He was a strong man with a huge heart!
It's still hard to believe that you are gone. Your personality was infectious and you managed to see the bright side out of everything. Always laughing and joking with each other you were like a big brother when I needed one and always managed to still make me laugh even if you were making jokes about me. We had serious talks but you never let anything get you down. You will always be remembered by your Ashland family. That bond is stronger then you know. RIP cios, I know you are home.

Francois set a good example for anyone who encountered him. He was a teammate of mine on the wrestling team.
