I remember the late nights stopping by the chapel on my way back from the library to have a chat when Fr. Joe would burn the midnight oil. Enjoy the heavenly feast Fr. Joe!
Joe was my cousin and he will be greatly missed. We always had great conversations and fun family reunions when he was around. Rest in peace
I remember when I was a Freshman & Sophomore living in the all men's Founders Hall (not the case now) and going to Mass on Tues. nights held by Fr. Joe in the basement. It was always refreshing and a needed break to the hectic pace of college. He was always soft spoken and listened to you and gave you time to talk when you needed it most. He always encouraged me when the strain of playing Football while taking Engineering classes would seem to be overwhelming. This would help center me and make me realize that there is more to life and that it would be ok. +JMJ
Your kind ways will always be remembered. Thank you for your many years of friendship. I and the whole University of Dayton community are richer for having known you.
Fr. Joe - I will be forever indebted to you for your compassion, great care, wisdom, and humor. You are a great man - a man of deep faith. Thank you for all you have done for my family & I --- and all of the Marianist Community around the world.
Peace to you!
He was a blessing to all of us. May he rest in peace. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family and the Society of Mary.

Good friend, good priest and practical intellectual!
Your guidance and sincerity was an inspiration to my success at UD that I have not forgotten. God bless you and the recently deceased Fr. Norbert Brockman for all you have done for the community and for UD.
Joe was a good Man and will be Missed,
