WALKER, Irene Dorothy (Graham) born December 16, 1919 blessed our lives for 94 years. On Wednesday, March 26, 2014 she went to be with the Lord and to meet her hubby, Leonard who has been waiting at Heaven's gate for her since July 27, 1972, so they can be together for eternity. Also waiting are her parents, Herbert & Louise (Hall) Graham, 4 brothers & sisters-in-law, and her sister & brother-in-law. She is survived by 1 brother and sister-in-law, Larry & Dena (Crothers) Graham of Peebles, OH. Irene graduated in 1937 from Peebles High and was voted Miss Peebles in 1938. Irene leaves behind a legacy of family and friends. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Sandy (Richard Smith) and 2 sons, Denny, and Gary & his wife, (Julie Huff) Walker. Nan had 8 grandchildren and spouses, Todd & Jill Smith, Tony & Jeanette Smith, Chad & Cindy Walker, Aaron, Brandan, & Amanda, Haylie & Raegan Walker, Britany & John Kovaleski, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Irene loved & was loved by all her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Irene never met a stranger. She brought joy, great humor, and a ready smile for all. Her goal in life was to help others. She brought sunshine to all her friends and devoted caregivers at Spring Meade Health Center. Irene loved the Lord with all her heart and was a member of the Vandalia Nazarene Church for 45 years. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm, Saturday, March 29 at the Fairfax Methodist Church in Fairfax, Ohio. Burial will follow at Fairfax Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday (TODAY) from 5-7 pm at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia as well as from 1:30 pm until service time at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, Irene would rather you help someone in need, give generously to your church, or enjoy a special night out with your family...

Dear Gary, Sandy and Denny,
I am sorry to hear about your mother. I will always have fond memories of how kind she was to me as a child. I just returned from Israel today or I would have gone to her memorial service.
