I am an 89 Cj grad and was fortunate to play for Coach Amlin for two years at CJ. How many phrases you had, "doggy's froggys" and "lookin for nickles" to name a few or your funny hats. The big blue cowboy hat come to mind. You made football fun and taught us all many life lessons. Who could forget the Bahama Mama club in your basement watching film on an old projector and listening to your stories.

Please know your love of the game and your passion and dedication to your players is something I strive for everyday in my own career. Your phrases and one liners live on with my team every day in practice. Coach, we never, ever "look for nickles" when we're tired. You were the best.

Amlin Family,
I was saddened to learn that my coach had passed on. I learned a lot growing up playing Football for the Coach at Patterson in the early 70's as did others

While looking for Jim "Doc" Harsha's notice, I stumbled across Coach Amlin. Having Coach for PE and then watching him coach football, it was obvious how much he loved life, football and all those around him.
Your family will be in my prayers.

Pat,
My deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your husband. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family during this difficult time. My parents thought the world of both you and Ken.
