DARNER, Marie E. age 87 of Dayton, reunited with her husband, William F. Darner on Friday, August 8, 2014. She was born August 1, 1927 in Index, KY to the late John and Beulah (Elam) Leach. Marie is preceded in death by her three sisters, Virginia A. Kirby, Vivian Brundage and Doris Gevedon. She is survived by her children, Sherry (Jim) Perkins, Debbie (Jim) Short, John (Lori) Gevedon; step-children, Warren Darner and Rick (Pat) Darner; grandchildren, Katie and Steven Perkins, Jimmy (Heather) Short, Jessica (Todd) Shasserre, Sarah (Sam) Shon, Andrea Gevedon, Melissa Darner and Scott (Nickie) Darner; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Ava Shon, Scarlett Shasserre, Brooklynn Jones, Gannon Short, Leyla Short, Zach Darner and Nate Darner; brother, John Patrick (Patty) Leach and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. with burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until time of service. Condolences may be made to the family at www.newcomerdayton.com
