Mitch wore a lot of different hats, and I wish I could have experienced them all. I enjoyed the man I got to see the most, the Mitch at church every Sunday. My favorite story from the services was the one when he got saved. What a beautiful reassurance, knowing he is so happy with his Father. I LOVE YOU AUNT JUDY!!!!!

Dear Judy, Chris, Lisa and Mark,
Like so many of the people who have responded to this loss, you do not know me. Mitch was the "voice of reason" and "Hey, Don did you think of this", when I was an "old guy" Major in the 4950th Test Wing. My project, along with the late Pete Larkin, was the EC-18B. I started as an outsider from the "Glamour World" at Andrews. Mitch took the time to give me a very deep appreciation of the talents around me, and the scope of what I needed to do. From a ride together in the Antenna laced T-37 over Brush Creek MOA to a bit of the Tullamore Dew in "Chuck Yeager" bar after a long day at Edwards in the C-135, I proudly got to claim him as a friend. Only Mitch can appreciate that I had a flight on the day of the funeral. Not knowing you, does not diminish my admiration for the people that made Mitch the gentle giant that he was to all who knew him. May God grant you peace, in knowing Mitch loved all and all that he did.

Dearest Judy, Chris, Lisa and Mark,
There are no words to express what has happened and how senseless it is to all of us. In time, we will all get to where we need to be but in the meantime we share this scripture with you, "I can do all things through Christ who strenghtens me." One day at a time.... We love you and are here for each of you.

Judy and Cary Family,
I couldn't believe the news on July 30. All the care and love that went into assembly, check, and flight test of the Silver Bird by all Wright "B" Flyer Members to create a safe plane and Mitch was certainly actively involved. Though he was an accomplished test pilot, Mitch was right at home in the lobby helping youngsters fly the simulator and giving visitors that memorable ride in the Brown Bird. All of us volunteers at Wright "B" Flyer will miss Mitch. My condolances to you and your family.
