Mitch was a pleasure to work for and work with in the Commercial Testing Branch in the 4950th Test Wing. As a new test pilot in the 4950th, I relied on Mitch's test expertise and program guidance. Most of all, I appreciated his sense of humor and outlook - they were priceless. Mitch will be missed.

Mitch's smile and laugh could warm even a cold and gloomy day in Dayton. We had several fun trips together, one to the Sandy Beach Hotel in Barbados stands out especially with the four day slip before we even landed. When I needed advice for a demanding test at Edwards, I usually sought out Mitch first. "Get them to give you refueling time in the B-52 then your qualification tests will seem easy." He was right of course....smart, fun, an excellent pilot. My deepest sympathy.

I was Principal at Hamilton when Mitch was in school. I was sorry to read about the accident. Also, I lived only about a mile from where Mitch was raised and know the family well. My condolences to those who are left. May your thoughts be of the good times when Mitch was alive.

Dear Judy -- my heart goes out to you and I am so sorry for your very tragic loss. I did not know your husband but he sounds like a super guy. Please know I will continue to keep you and your family in prayer in the days ahead.....praying for God's blessings of comfort and understanding as you cope with Mitch's loss. Keep strong in your faith and God will guide you through this.

When you're ready, we look forward to seeing you at the retiree's lunches. May God Bless You Always. With love and friendship, Debbie Eastep
