Dear family and friends of Sarah, My heart goes out to you with many hugs. We are deeply saddened with our own loss of our beautiful daughter Tana Nicole Reed Merritt and wanted to reach out to you. God bless you all.

Dear Merritt Family,
As the anniversary of Sarah’s death approaches, I can’t help but think of your family. Sarah and I crossed paths several times in our soccer careers in high school, club, guest playing, and ODP. What I always admired about Sarah was her ability to dream and follow her heart. I try and remember her thoughts and keep a little piece of her spirit with me every day. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

Dear Tom and Tammy, having some free time on my hand, I went to my home computor to try and pull up some information on your daughter, Sarah. I live in HHI. In fact, I was an employee at the Comfort Inn and worked so sadly there the very next day after your beautiful daughter died. I would like you to know how your daughter's death affected our Island community to this day, nearly two years later. All of us had primary concerns for the both of you and Sarah's twin sisters. We all agreed, this was an oustanding young women. Thoughts generally turn to what might have been. As a former Social Worker and grief counselor

Sarah, its me Haley. I have been trying to find a way to write to you, since you left. I miss you so much, sometimes it seems to hurt. I am so sorry for your family and can't imagine the pain they all suffer every day. I dream of you at least four times a week, and hope that never ends. You probably, didn't realize what a hold you had on every heart that you touched. Its amazing what this tragedy has done to us all. I wanted you to know that I didn't name her Veda. LOL. I'm sorry, but I decided that my daughter who came into this world only a short two months after my best friend died, should be named after her. Sarah Averie Elaine Isham is her name, and we are so proud to have done so. Thank you for always being the best friend I ever knew. Tom, Tammy, Hannah, and Emily, I hope that we can stay in touch. I can only pray that my daughter will succeed in her life as yours did hers. I love and miss you Sarah.
