Dear family and friends. I do at this time deeply extend my condolences. Please keep in mind 1 Corinthians 15:26 which tells us death is to be brought to nothing

Good morning Stan ~

I was just going to write to my brother, Stanley P. Raczynski, who preceded you in death and his burial was January 17, 2013, and decided to pay my respects to you first. My brother was known to his closest friends and family as 'Stan the Man'.

I was able to have my own personal visitation with you as I left Lester's Sports Bar and Grill, Ladue yesterday. I was going to take a photo of me in the snow for my friend from Texas and there was your statue! It is a blessing to me for that moment.

I grew up in St. Louis and watched many, many Cardinal games. My mom was a huge ~ did I mention HUGE Cardinal fan, as was my brother and, well, me! This week, going through his personal items I found an autographed photo of you, a team photo from 1964 and an autographed baseball (later vintage than your outstanding career - signed by Ozzie Smith and other players.) So you and the Cardinals were with me and my family as we began our grieving process for my brother, Stan, and a longtime Cardinal baseball fan.
At my Mom's after-funeral celebration we sang "Take me out to the ballgame” well, now you are all in Heaven and playing ball.

You are truly an icon to the sport and a great citizen of our city and the Catholic Church evidenced by your benevolence and many philanthropic gifts have changed the lives of so many people and will continue to do so for decades to come.

The first posting of your passing, I found online was in the Dallas Morning News, my current home. Thanks for being part of our family history in life and now for all eternity we are closely linked by the events of this week.

"It's one, two, three strikes you're out at the old ball game."

"Do what matters to God."
Barbara J. Raczynski on behalf of all the Raczynski family for the greatest Cardinal ~ Stan the Man Musial!!

I've always felt that Mr. Musial was a friend/family member even though I had never met him. There just aren't many men like him today. Thank you Mr. Musial for all that you have been to St. Louis. Thank you to his family for sharing him with us all. He will always be remembered and in our hearts. My prayers are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

Not only the greatest Cardinal of all time, but one of the greatest men of all time. The Saint Louis area especially, but also the entire country is a much better place because of Stan Musial having been here. He's up in heaven running out those triples and signing autographs for the kids.
