As I stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.

If I were to write you a letter, today, I would have to begin with "I miss you, so much", the same way our phone calls went for the 18 years between when we first met and the time you left us all. Then, I would remind you of the fun times we shared, the "Best Friend" status we enjoyed for all those years, and we would promise to get together soon. I wish I could have seen you the summer of 2001 as we talked about. Still, no matter how long between visits, and it's still true today, we will always be Best Friends...and we will see one another again. Though there may be space between dates on a calendar, there will NEVER be space between you and me or our friendship. Then, I would end the letter telling you I send hugs for your family and hope your mom and dad are doing well. The one thing this letter will NEVER do, is to say goodbye, only "Love you, take care and I'll see you later"
