We are so glad to have lived and known Johnny and his family during the boat harbor days. Many, many good memories and we feel fortunate to have known him. He will be missed by many, but you know he's playing that great music for the Lord now.
Newton and I were so sorry to hear about Johnny. We had so many good times at the harbor with you two and "old toupe". I came across a photo about a month ago of me picking a splinter out of Johnny's foot. Made me laugh. Please call me Mitsie. I would love to meet you for lunch one day. I come to Decatur about once a month and would love to see you.
Jennifer and Mitzie,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. May God's presence and the presence of friends comfort you during this time.
Dear Mitsie, I was coming to the funeral, but broke a toe and developed a rash , so had to change the plan. Johnny was such a dear man, and our families have been friends for generations. I will miss him, as will so many others. All the best to all your family. Sallye Powell Coggin.
I am so sorry to hear of Johnny passing, I meet him when my husband (Jeff Borden) worked with him many years ago, he was a very nice man. He let Jeff and I stay on his houseboat once to let us have a get away when we were young and had no money for a real vacation, I will never forget that and the kindness that he showed to us back then. Jeff has done passed on also years ago but he really considered Johnny a friend. God Bless you all in your loss you are in my thoughts and prayers. Debbie Landers
