I remember meeting Mr. Basilio on a trip to Canastota to see our relatives, the Capparelli family. My father even took a picture of you "boxing" with my brother, Danny. It was an honor and I pray God will comfort your family in the days ahead. Rosemary in South Carolina

We got to play golf with Carmen in a Kiwanis tournament. We enjoyed all his stories of his life - they were fascinating. He was a great man and a great boxer!!

We had the pleasure of playing golf with Carmen at a Kiwanis function. His stories about his life were fasinating. He impressed us as a fine individual. He had a tremendous career in Boxing.

Dear Josie & Family, Sorry to hear about your loving Husband and Father Carmen. I would hear about him often when he would be on Friday night fights that I would watch with my Father. Carmens Father was my Grandmothers cousin who was from Bracigliano Italy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in your time of sorrow.

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of a great man. Every time I ran into him at Lemoyne, he would hit me with a flurry of 10 punches. Boy did that hurt, but boy it was so great coming from the CHAMP.
