We are sorry to hear about Al's death. I enjoyed serving with him on Virginia Tech's Chemical Engineering Advisory Board for a number of years. His experience and wisdom were valued by all of us. We are thankful for all that he did for our department, including his financial support over the years as well as the time and energy that he provided as an alumnus.

Throughout my employment at Hercules, I came in contact with a gentleman who became my hero of sorts. He was indeed a visionary.i knew him first as GM of the Polymers Department and when he became President. He would call and ask how I was doing. He had a significant impact on my life. May he rest in eternal peace.

We extend our sympathy for the loss of your extraordinary father (and grandfather.) Al Giacco was a highly respected man who was a great force for good in Wilmington. We have greatly enjoyed our relationships with his children and grandchildren, who proudly represent the legacy of a very important force in the community.

Sorry to hear of Uncle Al's passing. We're thinking of all the family as you go through these times. I remember way back when y'll lived in Radford, Va and the close relationship of Aunt Edith and her sister Ila. It's been a long time but I also remember playing with Alex and Ricky.
Your Dad was an amazing man and accomplished much during his life. He was a great Hokie. Our prayers are with you and all the family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Uncle Al's passing. I have fond memories of visiting ya'lls house when I was a child and sliding down the steps. (haha) I'm sure Uncle Al and my daddy (Uncle Morton) are busy telling many stories to each other in heaven. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
