Thank you to all who write here, and were able to celebrate and remember a man taken too soon but made an impact with the time he had. My sister, Mom and I were grateful for how we could celebrate with Essie and her family, so many colleagues, and friends from all over...its a party he would have loved. You're missed Dad.
Thank you to all of the kind messages about my Dad. It is comforting to hear that he was the same at work as at home... tough but fair and for his family, very loving. We all miss him.
I'm saddened to hear of Triggers passiing. I saw him at our last shipyard in Philadelphia two years ago. It had been a few years since I had seen him, I was glad to see he was still the same Trigger.
A good man gone too soon.
My thoughts and prayers to his family.
Trigger was a great guy and he will be greatly missed!!! He would come to witness testing for ABS at Laboratory Testing, Hatfield, PA and I always enjoyed talking with him and hearing all his stories. He will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. My sincere condolences to his family. RIP Trigger
So very sorry to hear about "Trigger". He was a "GEM" of a guy. Someone everyone liked. He was one year ahead of me at MMA, and I will miss him.

I was a freshman when Trigger was a third class rate...he was tough but fair. You always knew when you were in trouble when he came at you smiling...he was the same way in business. Trigger would come to DeLaval to witness many steam generating units and applied the same demeanor he had at the academy, which always made him a pleasure to work with. May trigger RIP!
A pleasure to have known him and he will be greatly missed.
Trigger was one of the "Good Guys" I was
pleased to have work with from time to time
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. His family is in my prayers. God Bless!
Although it has been many years since I have seen Trigger all the memories are fresh in my mind. He was a super nice guy and a credit to MMA. RIP
My Prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this time.
I enjoyed the times you came to Maine for Keystone.
My sincere condolences to the Burke family. Another great sailor has crossed the bar.

sorry to hear of trigger burke's passing,we were mugs together and he was always a friend.
Our thoughts and our prayers are with trigger and family. I had the pleasure of working with trigger in Philadelphia.
I have lost a nice friend! I have not been in long time with him, but we were in a nice friend each other. He has kept in a great personality and he was knowledgeable. We have shared many things each other. I miss him, and he is in my prayers. May Lord take care of my friend Trigger.
My condolences go out to Roger's family. I had the good fortune to attend Maine Maritime with Trigger. He was one of the "Rates" in charge of our class in 1962. A good guy, tough but fair. I worked with him years later when I was port engineer and he was an ABS surveyor. Same demeanor: tough but fair. RIP my friend.
