Jimmy (Tank) was my godfather. His mother Helen was my dad's oldest sister.
My dad, Bob Dobson, and he were only 7 years apart in age, and they actually met up during WW11 when they were stationed nearby each other.
We didn't see much of each other after we moved from NY to Ohio, but we kept in touch.
He always sent my family Christmas stockings filled with DuPont sponges each year.
I last heard from him when he sent me handwritten pages of family history, which I very much appreciated.
My deepest sympathies to Bobbie and to his niece, whom regrettably I never met.
Sincerely,
Mary Jane (Dobson) Adee
