Jimmy L. Compton
Jimmy Compton died peacefully surrounded by his family and friends Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Christiana Hospital. Jimmy was born is Tazewell, Virginia and was raised in Elkton, Maryland. Jimmy was a US Army Veteran who spent his entire life working and eventually retired from Chrysler Corporation in Newark, DE in 1996 after 37 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Pamela Compton; his 4 sons Jimmy Compton Jr., Robert Compton, Timmy Compton and Preston Kinnamon; 6 grandchildren Pamela J Rodriguez, Phyllis Coulombe, Chris Compton, Jade Compton, Tori Compton and Danika Kinnamon and 7 great grandchildren. Those that knew Jimmy Knew him as a kind hearted man that would do anything for you and would go out of his way to help others. Jimmy had a very strong work ethic and continued to work part time until recently. He will be truly missed by everyone. A visitation will be held at Beeson Funeral Home 2053 Pulaski Hwy, Newark, DE 19702 February 15 from 6-7pm followed by a 7pm memorial service.

So incredibly sad to hear that Jim died. He was such a nice guy, always looked out for me and my family. He was one of the first people we met in the neighborhood and definitely one of the nicest. We will miss him.

To Pam and the kids, Sorry to hear about Jim. Haven't seen you in so many years since you all walked in mom's ceramic shop Thina's . Mom passed 8 years ago. Jim was a very good man. Miss you all.
