Dearest Jimmy,
What can really be said about an earthly angel, like your sister, Mary? My family shared the same last name and we attended Immaculate Heart of Mary School together, yet, Mary quickly became the glue for us as she did for so many other famiies.
I honestly, don't know anyone, back in the day or even now, who loved the loveless, sheltered the homeless, cared and made a difference in both children and adults lives as Mary Alicia Johnson, did. Mary always had a big heart. She possessed a well spring of hope, belief and charity, as her cure all for the ills and injustices done to innocent children.
God seemed to have super sized Mary's talents of compassion, and patience, to that of a Saint.' Qualities, which often made me marvel at Mary, as if I stepped into a Nursery Rhyme Book. Mary made everything seem effortless, easy, and rarely did I see her stressed about anything.
We all wanted to be just a little bit like Mary, but God made only one, unique person like Mary. She, mothered us all with her love and listening abilities. yet, Mary didn't mind solving problems, giving of her precious time, sharing meals, information and wisdom unselfishly to all who sought her company. Going to Mary's was guaranteed: good company, fun times, laughs and most assuredly mouth watering home cooked meals.
Mary's legacy will be long lived through many who were blessed to know her both near and far. Mary gave of herself tirelessly, to any and all who needed her endlessly. Rest now, Mary! Watch from heaven, as those lives you changed for the better, spread unconditional love to others.
Prayerfully, this little tribute will be of some comfort for the family, but only time really heals grief and sorrow. God willing maybe more families will want to bridge the gap that "We Are All Indeed Family," like Mary so graciously, showed.
Mary's home was HOME for us all. Mary is only gone from our sight but Mary Alicia "Honey" Johnson will never be forgotten, and always in our hearts, minds, prayers and family gatherings, from this day forward. Till we meet again, at heavens door. Gods Peace, Protection and Prosperity.
Sorrowfully,
Missing our chats & chews.
