Obviously, I am deeply saddened by the loss of a dear, good friend. However, I will treasure all the wonderful qualities that I saw in Jim. Despite his physical limitations, Jim was always positive and upbeat, with a sense of humor that was contagious. More importantly, Jim was very caring, with a warm heart that reached out to help wherever and whenever needed. He would listen to my complaints ( which paled in comparison to his health problems ) with compassion and understanding. My biggest regret is that I didn't befriend Jim and Joann earlier in life. Jim will be sorely missed but I hope this former educator realizes his example taught others how to be a good, caring, decent gentleman!

My thoughts and prayers are with his love ones. He was my teacher in 1971 and a great and funny man. I have never forgotten him. God Bless! Eileen McDonough-O'Toole

It was always a pleasure to see Jim at the racetrack, I knew him from the Garden State Days as a teller and more recently at Harrah's. He always had a smile on his face and kind words to say. He always made me smile. He will be missed by many.

If there was one positive thing that ever came out of my horse racing trips, it was meeting Mr. Jimmy Condon. We were total strangers when we crossed paths at the track maybe 20 years ago. One little comment
made back and forth and soon Jim had earned my deepest respect. Not only was he a teacher as my own Dad was, but a basketball player who was still playing into his fifties! Jim was about a decade or so older than me and knew a lot of the guys I idolized growing up around basketball. It was always a joy to hear Jim, with his great sense of humor, talk about not only sports but life in general. It seemed to me that he was a man who had it all together. It saddens me that these light hearted and enlightening conversations with Jim are over. He truly made an indelible mark on my life that will not soon be forgotten. A teacher in the classroom, a mentor in life and a loyal friend. We loved and love you Jimmy Condon.
