We knew him by the name of Bud. He lived next door to us and was a very nice person. Always willing to help us when needed. I will never ever forget his kindness . We were young and struggling and we did not have any money to buy a Christmas tree. I don't know how he knew but there as we opened our back door there was the greatest tree sitting there. That was the greatest thing anyone had done for us. I still tell everyone what a great gesture that was and we will never forget. Rest in peace. David sorry for your loss. Will be in my prayers.

Hearing about the passing of Orian brought great sadness to me and my family. I came to know him about 1956-57 when I was a freshman at Interboro High School. My friends and I attended dances on Friday nights at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church on Chester Pike in Norwood, and "Horney" (as he was called in those days) and his friends (Jackie Faulkner, Eddie Irving, Joe Hoagland, and Ronnie Hess) were always there too. They seldom danced and just hung around. Horney ALWAYS gave me and my friends a ride home in his blue Studebaker!!!! When my cousin, Nancy, came to live with my family, she met Horney, there was an instant connection, and they started dating. Long after Nancy and I left the Glenolden area, Horney would come to visit my parents on a regular basis. When he became a father, he always brought his son with him. I met David on several occasions there at my parents' home. My mother and father liked and respected him and always looked forward to and enjoyed his visits. He could discuss any topic and was always well informed about world events, politics, and life in general. He was a very highly principled man and very intelligent and well-spoken. One humorous anecdote I would like to share is about our Christmas tree trimming. My father believed in always getting a huge tree that filled up half of our living room. But he always waited until Christmas Eve to put on the lights. It was always a very slow process that went well into the late hours. Horney and Joe always came for a visit on Christmas Eve, and it became a standing joke when Horney would ask my father if he needed any help. We had many a laugh over that tradition. I will always remember Horney as a man of great honor and integrity, very hard-working, who had a wonderful sense of humor, was very kind, humble, self-sacrificing and thoughtful. I am grateful and fortunate to have known him but saddened by his loss. My sincerest sympathies to his family, and especially to his son, David.

I remember this man so very well. As a senior at Interboro High School in 1957 - 58
we dated every weekend. I was a new girl in Glenolden and he was so nice to me. I will always remember his kindness and sense of humor. I knew him back then as "Horney" whom everyone liked and respected. Stayed in touch for a few years after I left that area and will remember him always. My sympathy to the family and especially his son. He was a really good person.
Sincerely,
Nancy Stone Carrozzi
