Julie,So very sorry to hear of Sam's passing. What a wonderful man who loved life and was pleasant to everyone he came into contact with. Loved watching you and Sam dance together. I know you two were my Mom's (Carol Porter) best friends at Dobbs House and it is a pleasure for me to say I know you and Sam. Condulences from my daughter Michele Orlando and my son Rob Charlier, they both remember Sam and his music and charm.
May God give you comfort and peace. God Bless you and your family.
Margie (Sis Porter) Charlier

Dear Sokolik Family,
Though years pass and times change, it was an honor and a pleasure to know Sam. He was not only a friend to me but to my family as well, as you all are. He always made us feel welcomed whenever we would meet. I will always be thankful for the memories of all the Polka venues we attended together whether I was playing or not. He loved every song the band played and always took the time to express his many compliments. He never had a bad word and always made myself and the band feel special. I will also remember just talking “music” with him and trading our stories of music life. His love and dedication made him a true ambassador of Polka music. May you have comfort in knowing that he has taken his spot on Heaven's bandstand and that he is never truly gone. He lives always in you and in all who knew him. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you.
Stan, Terry, Chris and Erik …..Raiczyk
