Joseph Botkin Obituary

Joseph P. Botkin Loving husband, father and grandfather Joseph P. Botkin, age 84, died June 9, 2014 at his home in Maris Grove, Glen Mills, PA. Joe was a longtime resident of Thornton before moving to Maris Grove in 2007. Joe was a US Army Veteran who served his country proudly during the Korean War. He retired from JE Hangers Co. He enjoyed spending time on his tractor and caring for his property, in which he took great pride. He was also an avid gardener. Joe was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Selwyn. Survivors: His loving wife of 21 years: Doris (McGonigal) Botkin; his children: Gary A. Botkin and Debra Valdez (Phillip); step-children: Diane Macheski and James Westhafer; a brother: Ralph Botkin; many grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Visitation: Friday, from 10:00-10:45a.m. at the Maris Grove Chapel, 100 Maris Grove Way, Glen Mills, PA 19342. Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. at the Maris Grove Chapel. Burial: Edgewood Memorial Park.
