Kate, Sarah, Katherine and Seth,

We are so very sad about Diane's illness and death. We recently heard about her long and heroic fight to survive. She was always such a strong person, a dear friend to so many and an amazing mother!
She was always there as a friend, neighbor, and community supporter!
Wish we could have helped her in her suffering!

Kate, we would love to be in touch and to know of her memorial service. May God comfort you all in your huge loss.

Love,
Sandi, John, Bob, Bret and Lori Birdsong

Diane was a dear neighbor and friend to me and my family in Washington, DC. She took wonderful pictures of my brother and I when we where young, I used to babysit for her children and my brother Matt and her son are good friends. Diane was funny and interesting to talk to and she made me feel that what I had to say was interesting and important too, it was one of the many wonderful things about her. The world is a smaller place with out her in it. love, Ann Potter

Diane was a classmate of mine at Roanoke College. More importantly she was my sister in Alpha Phi Fraternity. No one who knew her could resist her friendly smile and the twinkle in her eyes. Rest in Peace my sister and friend. Love, Jackie Pettit Burd

She was sunshine on a cloudy day. Loved to be around you and play golf. When we meet again I will give you the lucky putter you cherished.
