Dear Heather: I am 6 months older than Jim but joined the company exactly 7 years after he did. By coincidence, my wife and I also married 29 years ago, as you did! What wonderful tributes, and all true. Thanks for placing the obituary in the Toronto papers. Although I worked with Jim only for a few months, I will long remember how kind and helpful he was to us new employees. Even years later he remembered me as I passed through YVRAP to other destinations, and exhibited the same professionalism with customers. You are in our thoughts at this time. Jim was a fine man, taken too soon.

Deepest condolences Heather. I only found out today. We have been away.
Jimmy, I loved working with you and listening to your numerous funny stories
at YVR, especially about the one when you
were at the 'gates', and an anxious pax
who just got off a flight walked up to you
and said, "Where can I find Jim Melidones,
he is a personal friend of mine". You
looked at him and said, "I am Jim Melidones
and you are no friend of mine".
You were well-known and everyone wanted a
favour from you. Even agents across
Canada who did not have the privilege to
work with you, {thx again for the inter
view}like I did, knew about you.
You were famous like the celebrities you
constantly met and helped.
I am so sorry, we have lost a great
and optimistic man who worked 'miracles'
for so many people and made them happy.
Rest in peace, my friend.

Hi Heather: I just heard today about Jimmy and I wanted to call you to tell you what a great person he was and the earlier times we had together. I recall your fabulous dinners and Jim's charming ways and the hockey games he so generously included me in which were absolutely great fun. I recall your many charming ways too for instance your teaching me the rules of the game etc. Your were both so made for each other and I am so sorry that he had to go and the grief you are having today. In my memories you two are always there and I cherish them dearly. Please know of my sincere condolences. If you feel up to it I would love to hear from you. 274 6488.
Do you still have a small dog to hold on to. Special love and thoughts go out to you. Maddie Y.

Heather, first of all Margo and I are sad to hear about Jimmy's passing. He was indeed a character at YVR, positive and fun to work with. He had a confident swagger to his step and that smile made everyone relax. I roomed with Jimmy on a golf trip a few years back and we laughed from sun up to sundown.

A very special man!
Cheers Jimmy

Jimmy, you are always in our hearts, and you are so missed. You were a surrogate brother to me .

Heather, you are in our thoughts constantly. There was no one like Jimmy- sweetest, most thoughtful, charming, lovable, humorous guy. We will miss him dearly. Lots of love, Margaret & Allan

You will be missed "Uncle Mimmy" but fondly remembered.
Much love...Julie, Mark and Riley Bouchey
