Albert James Sr.
Tucson, AZ: Albert James Greco, Sr. 88, passed away peacefully after a strong willed fight on Wed. (Dec. 12, 2012), at Kindred Hospital in Tucson, AZ. Friends may call from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tues. (Dec. 18), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St., Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wed. (Dec. 19), at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Geneva. A luncheon reception will be immediately following at the Sons of Italy, 31 Prospect Avenue, Geneva. The Burial will at 11am on Fri. (Dec. 21) in St. Mary's Cemetery, Geneva, NY.
Albert was born on Jan. 19, 1924 in Geneva, NY and was a son of the late John and Assunta (Chiarilli) Greco. He served his country in the United States Army in WWII. Albert was a long time member of VFW Post 549 and the Italian American Club in Tucson. He was a hardworking man and was employed at the VA Hospital in Canandaigua & Tucson for over 27 years. The only thing he loved more that the Arizona sunshine, was his wife Margaret and family. Albert also had a great passion for music (Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Ray Price and anything country), dancing and poker night with family friends. Albert was an avid bowler and all around fun, friendly man who will be missed by all.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Margaret A. (DeJohn) Greco of Tucson, AZ; son, Albert J. Greco, Jr. of Rochester; daughters, Suzanne M. Roehler of Tucson, AZ and Sharon A. (Richard) Greco - O'Connor of Rochester; brother, Anthony (Mary Ann) Greco of Geneva; grandchildren, Audrey Michelle Roehler, Caitlin (Alex) Eichas, Melissa and Christopher O'Connor; great-grandchild, Ava O'Connor and several nieces and nephews. Albert was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph, Orlando, Randolph, Francis and Francis Greco; sister, Mary Valerio.
