I came to know Louise while visiting my stepmother at RPH who moved to the 4th floor in Feb. I was so saddened to learn of Louise's passing Sep 27. I last visited her Sep 24 and understood that the time was near, but she was still in & out of awareness. At one time while talking to her, she opened her eyes and attempted to vocalize. I believe she knew that I was there.

It has been a gift to have been able to get to know her. I was always thrilled to get that bright-morning-sunshine smile from her. It made me feel on top of the world to reach her. I will miss her.

And I very much regret missing her service. I have always wished to meet her family, learn of her earlier life, and let them know Louise was a fine friend of mine. It's never too late to make new friends!

I send my prayers to Bertha Louise's family. I can only imagine the wonderful memories that you all have of your life with Bertha Louise! Let these memories help to heal your hearts! I will always remember her beautiful smile and loving words! I am blessed to have known her and served her. Most Gratefully Yours, Janet H.
