Howard Gleffe
Rochester, NY - Passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2017. Age 93. Howard graduated from John Marshall High School. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and served aboard the USS Langley CVL35. Howard worked as a tool and die maker for Eastman Kodak Company for many years. He will always be remembered for his storytelling, quick whit, jokes and many friends.
He was preceded in death by wife, Eleanor and son, James. He is survived by children, Pamela Sadler, Patricia (Mark) Wilde, John (Connie) Gleffe;
grandchildren, Dean (Kate) Sadler, Brent (Christine) Sadler, Kimberly Sadler, Keith (Donielle) Wilde, Andy (Cophia) Knick, Emily (Eric) Miller, Margo Brownlie, Landon Gleffe, David (Rebecca) Gleffe and many great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service for Howard will be held in North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Mr. Gleffe... what an enthusiastic, interesting, brilliant man! Smart as a whip and quick with a story. His nature showed in this great picture here... friendly, kind, with a twinkle in his eye. Another great man of his generation lost, and what a loss it is. I'm so sorry to hear.

Mr. Gleffe was such a wonderful person and always knew how to make you smile by sharing a funny story. I feel truly blessed that I knew him. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep your family in my prayers.
