Dear Sister Francis,
I cannot thank you enough for all you have done for me and my family. You filled my life with love and hope even in the darkest times. Thank you for giving me your poems to share with others. My favorite is 'Songs for Small Saints.' In God's world, the smallest saints are His biggest saints. And you, through your example, have shown us how to be small before God and trust in His mercy.
I will never forget your compassion and generosity with those who needed help. You gave what little you had to anyone who asked. You saw God everywhere. You marveled at His beautiful creation and saw His hand in every animal, flower, tree and star. I look forward to the day when I see you again. I want you to give me a tour of the stars like you promised.
Watch over us all, Small Saint. We need your intercession now more than ever. I will miss you always and I will love you forever. -Doug
