Dearest Adam Boy,
You left us almost 5 months ago now. I am still spinning trying to believe you are in heaven. If I could gather all of my tears perhaps I could just sail up and have a visit. I wish so much that I had spent more time with you the last months, weeks, days and hours you were here. I just kept thinking there would be more time some day, We could do another Sunday dinner and I would let you have ziti and all the pork. Don't tell Grandma. There is a empty part of my heart that only you can fill.
Adam will ever be one of my heroes. What his life spoke to me is, "This is what I've got to contend with, for reasons only my sovereign, loving, all-wise God understands fully. I'll take my lot as a unique opportunity and privilege to glorify Him, with the help of the Holy Spirit and the example of Christ Jesus." Adam has learned now, by experience, three truths from Paul's epistle to the Philippians: that it's better by far to have departed this life and be with Christ; that his far-more-meaningful citizenship is in heaven; that our Savior does indeed have the power to transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. I praise and thank God for your example, Adam. I look forward to seeing you again in God's good time, more whole and full of joy than I can imagine. My prayers are with each one of your family.
In January, I was deeply impacted by something that Adam posted on facebook. Monica had challenged their small group to choose a focus word for the year, and his was integrity - he wanted to be a godly man of integrity. It's easy to be self-centered when you live with constant pain. But instead, Adam chose to serve the God he loved and the family, friends, and co-workers around him. I'm thankful to be a part of his family who loved him, and continue to pray for you all - Monica, Dorothy Ann, Joe, Kelly, Adam, Uncle Joe, Aunt Marie, the rest of the family and all of his friends - for comfort, peace, sweet memories that ease some of the pain, and joy in the knowledge that Adam is dancing in heaven and waiting to see us all there!
Farwell, my Brother
May you Rest in Peace
Farwell my fallen brother,
your presence was an honor
Your smile would light up a room and was always
Kind and sincere to the ones around you
You will be missed indefinitely
You welcomed me to the department and
Spoke about family & Christmas with adoration
I use to call you Christmas because
I had yet to learn new names
O Holy Night was your favorite
I wish you had the opportunity to hear my version
O Holy, is the one song I can belt for my Jesus
Twas' nice to meet another who carried the cross in hand
Serving for your community has brought such pride
You did a phenomenally job; “Well done” we'd all say
Adam Yanda you won't be forgotten
You've made a huge imprint; going above & beyond
We saw you rise in the sunny filled sky
The day we all mourned, saying our Goodbyes
Now rest in peace, my good new friend
I stand here in uniform, saluting hurrah
I pray, Oh Lord, Bless Adams Family
Watching over; guiding them rightful ways
Help them over mountains and to treasure
The good times they had with him -Amen
My prayers are with your family as
Our Holy beloved caresses you now
I say Farwell as your HFFD Sister
In remembrance of you, my HFFD brother
Poem written by myself in remembrance of Adam L. Yanda
Well I first met Adam working at the wonderful HFMP. He always brought a smile to everybody's faces that he passed. He would always make me laugh with his witty jokes and great sence of humor. He will never be forgotten. prayers and love for his family.
There are many great memories of LCS marching band with Adam. I hadn't seen Adam since days long ago at the store in HF, but it was always a pleasure to see him. His manner and smile were always so friendly!
My heart breaks with sympathy for Joe and Dorothy Ann, Adam's sisters and all the family and Adam's wife also, whom I did not have the pleasure of meeting.
God bless you as you go through this difficult time.
With our love and prayers,
Dear Yanda Family,
You continue to be in prayers and thoughts as you begin to navigate the days ahead. Be comforted in knowing God has you covered.
My condolences to Adam's wife, family, & friends.
I will miss Adam so much. He was a remarkable young man. He was such a cute little boy and he grew up to be a very handsome young man. I have wonderful memories of the many Sunday dinners at the Contino/Yanda home. We had so much fun. There was always delicious food and good music. The Yanda family all have beautiful voices and loved to sing. When Adam married Monica I saw how much he loved her and I was so happy for them both. One thing I appreciated about Adam was the deep respect and honor he gave to his family. He was a gentleman! Adam was a servant and that was evident in the way that he became involved in service to his community and his church. Adam blessed so many people in his short life here on earth. My heart aches for the family and I pray God will sustain and comfort them in the days ahead. We rejoice that one day we will see Adam in heaven. Love, Joy
As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
Thinking of and praying for you all during this incredibly difficult time. Adam exuded joy and was an incredible guy.
May the love and peace of God fill your heart beyond understanding as you say goodbye to precious Adam for a time, and may those many happy memories be a constant source of comfort and blessing to each of you.
I remember you, Adam, as a loyal and fun-loving friend to my three children, since nursery school days. You served alongside Ryan and Josh in the HFFD and taught them so much. They stood in awe of you, I know. I miss you, and cried most of the day when Ryan phoned me with the sad news of your too soon death. I, too, believe you are still with us in spirit, and watch over all those you love, but I cannot imagine this world without you in it to see and laugh with. You always greeted me at the grocery store in Honeoye Falls (Bells Market) and you fondly called me "Mom" - much to my delight! What wonderful hugs you shared with me ... and I will miss them so much. I want your Mom to know how I hurt for her - and for your entire family - especially Monica. You were an adorable young child and grew into a handsome, wonderful, amazing, and awesome young man - one that any wife/parent would be proud of. I was blessed to know you in this life, and will bless the day you greet me in the next life - because you were - and are - one of the very best good guys there ever was! I love you, Adam, and I thank you for being the stellar role model you have been to my sons, my daughter, and to me! I envy you in the arms of your Savior right now, and know that He has welcomed you home with such love. You served him well!
Sending our deepest sympathy. We will miss you so much. Monica, you are in our thoughts and prayers.
How does one handle the vacuum left by the likes of this vibrant young Hero! He has been an inspiration even to those who didn't know him personally. His reputation for living life with courage and compassion has effected our community at large. His modeling of perseverance with grace and humor in a sometimes "quick-fix-or-complain" culture will leave a sterling legacy in its wake. Kelly and Alison, you are heros as well. Praying for strength and comfort for you and yours !
Monica I'm so sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family
So very sorry for your deep loss. I can only imagine your grief.
Dear Monica, Joseph, Dorothy Ann, Kelly, Allison and Grandpa Joe, We heard of Adam's promotion and for us our hearts were saddened but for him it was the joy he will share forever.
We were leading Elim Bible Institute when Adam attended for one year. We never heard him complain. Adam was greater than the sickness that plaqued him. He did not allow his sickness to deter him from his dreams and aspirations. He proceeded with his life as one who stood at the helm and steered directly into the storm. He did not flinch. Truly, he was a gift to all of us that we might not allow the things in life to discourage us from the calling God has placed on our lives. We send our love, sympathy and prayers to each of you. He would want you all to be strong in your faith. Blessings, Rev. Paul and Gloria Johansson

Adam certainly left a legacy of commitment and love of family and of Jesus. He had a wonderful, unique personality and we will miss him terribly.
We are so unbelievably sorry to learn of Adam's passing and cannot imagine the grief you must be experiencing. He was a wonderful man and our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. I am currently in Florida so will not be able to make the calling hours or funeral but will be praying for you all.
On wings if Angels Adam .... God speed to your Loving Wife Monica, your Family and Friends.
Adam, my first memory involves you chasing Amy around your front yard. I was going to rescue her (and ended up with 10 stitches). You were surrounded by girls in our extended family for quite a while, and you were remarkably kind to your younger (likely annoying) cousins. Even though I haven't lived near you in years, your name was usually mentioned in phone calls to my parents or grandparents- and you were always helping someone. We will all miss you, and I hate thinking of your family dinners without you and your dry sense of humor. I'll miss a cousin who showed me how to love others and especially how to love my family. I love you, Adam. I'm glad you're with Jesus and you're not in pain anymore.
Adam, you are a good friend and have touched more lives than you will ever know. You will always be remembered my friend
Joe and family - I was so sad to hear of the passing of your son Adam. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family.
You will forever be in our hearts remembering your quick wit, love and compassion for others and beautiful voice, but mostly your amazing love for Jesus and your strong faith! You were an inspiration to all!
I worked with Adam at HFMP and he was always such a genuinely nice and helpful person who made me smile on my worst days. You will be missed my friend :-(
In loving memory of Adam, a loving and lovable young man of God whose courage and joy of living set an example for everyone who knew him. Adam-boy, you will remain in our hearts always.

Continuing to lift you all up in prayer day and night. So sad for everyone left here without Adam but can't help smile as I think of him belting out his praises to Jesus face to face. What an amazing guy he was. Love you guys.
I remember Adam as being a true gentleman... he always had a sweet smile, a gentleness to him, a compassionate heart and loving spirit -a true reflection of Christ's love.
It was a honor to have known him from back in the days at LCS and Lima Baptist.
My heart breaks for your family and his dear wife, but I rejoice that you have our Lord to be by your side and give you comfort... "and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:7
