Thinking of the Meath Family and sending special thoughts and prayers to you during this difficult time. Your Dad was an amazing man, kind and gentle and so thoughtful. He called on me at the Geneva Recreation Dept. for 36 years and we purchased all of our sporting goods from your Dad. He was a very special man and always talked about his beautiful family and your beautiful Mother who he has now been reunited with.

Kind regards,
Karen FitzGerald

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Howie Meath.
I first met Howie either the late 60's or during the 70's.
He was an iconic figure to those who were involved in sports throughout the Rochester area.
A good nature person who always had a story to tell. I think I purchased most of my basketball and football equipment from him. He would always follow up with me later to see how I was doing in sports.I can see his station wagon now pulling away filled to the brim with football shoe boxes, shoulder pads, basketballs.
I guess he never looked in his rear view mirror.
His passing signifies the ending of an era and reminds our generation is heading towards the golden years as well. Today's athletes often order on line.
In our time we had Howie. He would pull his vehicle right up to the field...didn't get anymore convenient than that and he always left you with some kind words and a smile.
God Rest Your Soul Howie!
and thanks for the memories!
