Jim was simply a fine man, honorable in all his dealings. It was my privilege to know him. I am very sorry for his family's loss; they should know that the people who worked with him held him in the highest esteem, as a businessman and as a human being.

To the Briggs family;
My deepest sympathy, Jim will truly be missed. I started at LCP about a year before Jim and what I will always remember is his smile and how much he cared about everyone. Even after the Thomson take over, he was still there and he always cared!

To Jim's family, my sincere condolences! I had not seen Jim since I left Lawyers Co-op in 1990. During my time at LCP and my contact with Jim, he was always a good guy, and a caring individual. His sincere feelings for a loss that I had suffered certainly helped me during a difficult times. I will keep your family in my prayers.

Dear Paula and family,
There was, and never will be, a time that a smile wasn't brought to my face every time I thought of Jim. He made my years at LCP so much fun. His laugh was contagious and we did that a lot. I will forever cherish those memories. How his face lit up talking about you and the kids will never be forgotten either. May you find some comfort knowing how his Legacy will live on. My sincerest sympathy to you, Andrew, Peter and Julie.

Dear Nancy and Joe: It's hard to say how shocked and saddened I was to hear about Jim. The notice in the D&C brought back a flood of memories about those good years at Harley when Steve Hinrichs was headmaster, you two were often around the school, and Jim was a rambunctious kid, quick to be playful and grin, and just as quick to work hard and do something decent. Elaine and I send our best wishes for memories that warm and good days yet to come.
