May God continue to comfort my family. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Mel will be missed.

My condolences to Aunt Melvina Johnson children for their loss of their mother. I apologize for my absence from the home going service. I loved Aunt Mel I'm just glad I had a chance to see her, laugh, talk, and enjoy her. I'm going to always cherish my memories of her, especially always going to her house. She's not here in human form but she's with us in spirit. She's not suffering or lonely any more. She's in heaven with Uncle Charles rejoicing. Phyllis, Reesie, Wanda, Lonnie Rodney, and Randy y'all were blessed with wonderful parents. May God bless y'all in your time of grievance. We love y'all.

Love,
ShayShay and Marlonie

Aunt Mel,

From childhood, as a country boy coming up to Rochester, you always treated me like a son, more so a nephew. I always appreciated the love and kindness you showed me which helped me get through a difficult transition in my life. It was even more appreciated throughout my adulthood, trials & tribulations, marriage counsel, and losing Mama. I would like to have been at the funeral, but do know, I am there in Spirit. Me, Dee, and the kids are going to miss you dearly.

Love you,

Michael
