To Laurie, Geoff and the extended Harter family:

I just learned of Pete's passing from the HWS Survey and offer my condolences.

I recall our days on Fairhaven Rd as kids and later at Hobart as we served as Trustees.

Pete lived a life of consequence and is in good hands.

Dear Harter family, I just found this. Please acccept my sincere condolences on the passing of Mr. Harter. I have the most fond memories of babysitting Brooke and Donnie as small Children when the family lived in Strafford PA. Mrs Robin Harter sent me the kids. high school pix and we lost contact after that. I would love to hear from you Sharon Cook Shepherd 610-647-6517. Malvern PA.

The Ashton family sends their deepest condolences . We would like to collectively send our love and support for the Harter family. Peter Harter, or Father Harter- as we called him, baptized my husband and daughter and also oversaw my confirmation into the Episcopal church. He served Grace Willowdale episcopal church for several years. Father Harter also provided me with a reference to nursing school and supported this endeavor over the course of my sojourn into nursing school. My family and I are forever grateful for his spiritual guidance. He always took sincere interest in the lives of his congregation. He will be sorely missed!

Although I never met Mr. Harter, his name has been well known as a long time Hobart Alumni leader and a prominent attorney in Rochester.

i was at the colleges along with Brooke.

Ralph Peter Harter made many contributions to Hobart and William Smith Colleges and the Monroe County bar and the local Boy Scout programs .

I extend to the entire Harter family thanks for all of the contributions and energies you allowed Ralph to give to the community. My condolences and good wishes of comfort that Ralph is at peace and with God.
