Just learned of Dr.Dimitrov's passing and am so very sorry. I became a patient of hers when It was discovered that I had a cholesatoma in my ear. I remember being frightened that I would loose any hearing that I had left and would not be able to work but Dr Dimitrov worked her magic by removing all of the cholesatoma and giving me enough hearing in my ear enabling me to use a hearing aid. She was such a compassionate doctor and knew how to put you at ease immediately. I will be forever grateful to her. She did so much good during her time on earth. Thank you.

I knew Eva as both a classmate and a friend when she was a student at Cherry Creek High School. I also knew her when she was at the University of Colorado. She was very bright and very dedicated to her studies. She was also a caring and gracious friend.

In spite of her great aptitudes and achievements, she remained very humble. I recall one time in an advanced biology class going over and asking Eva a question. She answered me right away, but then she smiled at me and told me that I had asked her something that I should have been able to figure out myself. I laughed and asked her why I should figure it out myself when I could just ask the smartest person in the class. She looked me in the eye, and with no false modesty, she insisted that she was not the smartest person in the class. But in spite of her humility, I knew that she had the highest GPA in the class. The numbers tell the truth.

I wish she had contacted me before she went to Guatemala so that we could have talked about low-tech means of water supply and purification. That's something I could have given her answers on. And it would have given me a chance to speak with her once more. It so saddens me to know that she is gone from this earth.

Dr. Dimitrov was kind, understanding, and in my eyes, my hero because she saved my son's hearing. She was a phenomenal doctor. My family had no idea that she had retired due to illness. May she rest in peace.
To her family, I am sorry for your loss. She talked to me about her children with love and pride. May God bless all of you!
