Daddy, Valerie and I left flowers at your beautiful grave tonight.
December 11, 2008
Dear Geri,

You have our deepest sympathies. Joni and I were terribly saddened to learn of Dennis' passing, and our hearts go out to you and your family. Dennis and I met in Denver in 1977 - he was a successful and experienced Audit Manager at Johns Manville while I was a brand-new, rookie Computer Auditor with Coopers & Lybrand. There was created an immediate and lasting friendship bond between us, and I will never forget and will always appreciate his wisdom and intellect, his patience and his total commitment to always doing the right thing. I'll also never forget those incredibly fun breakfast meetings we regularly had at the "Colorado Cafe." He was a wonderful man, a terrific professional and a very good personal friend of mine...

Peace is his, memories are yours.

Dear Geri, It was a few weeks ago when we were sitting around your cozy kitchen table sharing words of wisdom, Pat, Staci, Preston and yes Dennis. Pat and I had a wonderful hour with Dennis who comforted us with his acceptance of moving up above, his Sprit will always remain in my heart. It was also a gift to see Ali and know Alex was there. My prayers and love are with you all. May the support of your wonderful family and friends help you all....it is not easy. As winter and snow come the flowers of Spring come...God Bless

Dear Aunt Geraldine, Ally, Staci, and Alex:
One of my first memories of Uncle Dennis is from the 70's, when we greeted you at Newark Airport on a summer visit to NJ. On this and other trips you made back east, I appreciated the vision of a man who relocated his family to Colorado - a state I have grown very fond of over the years.
During my visits to your home when I was just "driving through", for Staci's wedding, and when I was in Denver for work, I witnessed many examples of the loving, intellectual, and stable foundation he provided for his wife and children over the years.
While me and Uncle Dennis sometimes had to agree to disagree on matters involving politics and government, everyone will agree you are all blessed and better people for having him in your lives. Dennis inspired me from afar to embrace the outdoors and ride my bike to work, and there is no doubt "His Memory Will Be Eternal".
Love,
Sean

When Valerie was at church camp, my dad was the first person to send her an email at the camp. I think the message applies to Daddy now just as much as it did to his granddaughter this summer:

"I bet it is exciting. I am sure you are going to make a lot of new friends. Bella and Foxy both miss you."

We all miss you, Daddy.

Love,
Alexandra

I was always amazed by Dennis' relentless strength and unwavering positive mindset. Thank you Dennis for being an inspiration and a wonderful cousin - we love and miss you. Love Jennie

My Dearest Sister Geri
My prayers are with you for losing your wonderful husband, wonderful unique Dennis.
Staci, Aly and Alex, my heartfelt thoughts are with you at this time, this terrible dark painful moment of losing your Dad.
Remember all the good times, so many memories and happy events you've all had together as a family.
Your Dad was very special to me. We had many long private conversations together.
He made me promise to remember and follow his words - and I will.
Den, you are no longer in pain, rest my dear Den, rest my dear "Mentor". You will never be forgotten and will always be in my heart.
Love Caddie

Joe worked with Dennis for 20 years in Johns Manville. They not only shared a working relationship but discovered they shared a deep love for their Lord who carried them through the "ups and downs" of life. We will continue to hold you close in our hearts, our thoughts and our prayers. We know God walks with you as does our friendship and our love. Geri, you and your family have our very deepest sympathy. Mary Lee and Joe Pazo

Our thoughts and prayers are with Dennis as well as the rest of the Dallas family. Thankfully, we were able to reconnect after all these years and have truly enjoyed the weekly chats and all that the Cousins Project has entailed. Dennis will be sorely missed; however, his inspiration and love for all of you is unending.

With love from Atlanta, Bill, Jennifer, Liam and Kieran

I remember Dennis as a young man with his dark moustache, looking very much like McCloud on TV.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all today upon hearing of Uncle Dennis. I Know he has found peace and has allot of people that will miss him dearly. I was also remembering the summer we all spent in Colorado today and have fond memories. I look at photos all the time Aunt G would send of my Dad as a young man. Uncle Dennis was usually right next to him. It makes me feel like they are together. He was a true example of
strength, and I will cherish the time we spoke together a few months ago.

I will always have fond memories of the summer I spent in Colorado. I remember Uncle Dennis being a man who was always very calm, happy, smiling and loved to play board/card games. He taught me how to play chess, a good game of checkers and Uno.

My thoughts are with you all at this time of sympathy. May you always remember what a loving father and husband Uncle Dennis was.
Love, Tara

Uncle Dennis was a great man and will be forever missed!

Anastasia, Alexandra, & Alexander are so privileged to have had such a man to be their father. They were graced with his intelligence, sincerity, and compassion throughout their lives.

Aunt Geraldine has the memories of a great love & friendship that lasted over 41 years. Such a gift!

If everyone were as fortunate as the Dallas family the world would be a better place!

It was our privilege to know Dennis while living in Cranbury, N.J. almost 39 years ago. And we enjoyed renewing our friendship with him and family during Alexandra's wedding.
Our hearts are saddened by his loss, but gladdened at his arrival at Heaven's Gates and to the One who will care for him for eternity.
November 15, 2008
I was so sorry to hear of your and my loss. If you need any help, please call. I am thinking about all the times Dennis and I spent together in our youth. Will also remember the time Dennis and you came to NJ and we all had a great time, it seems like it was only last year. I will miss Dennis greatly.

May the Good Lord in his infinite mercy look gently on the soul of his faithful servant Dennis and bestow on him the crown of eternal glory
