We really had a great troop. Troop 459 from Baytown Texas. Delos was not one to 'band stand', so he is not in the photo.

Fabulous man! He was our Scout Leader from the time I was a new 11 year old scout. He always drove us to campouts and summer camp and along with the other scout leader, Otis Carraway, we had the perfect troop. I remember when a scout had a complaint, Delos would just say "Too Badd" and moved on. Stephen was just younger than me, and we enjoyed those trips so much. At the time of Margaret's funeral, I wrote a tribute to Delos about how much he meant to me as a leader, father to my friend, mentor, etc. If I had a copy of it, I would type it here.

He was my earliest boss at Polychrome. He was the roll-up-his-sleeve and show how things should be done kind of leader. The obituary did not mention the fact that he has served as the distinguished Research Director of Polychrome Corporation. I am sure that because of his usual modesty he did not tell his accomplishments even within his closest circle. As I mentioned elsewhere, he may be remembered by some as the creator of the PC-11 desktop processor which he built in his garage in his White Plains house.
He is greatly missed by all those who worked under and with him throughout the company wherever he worked, R&D, Technical Service, China Partner liaison, etc.

Delos was a wonderful man, always giving and kind. I was very blessed to have known him.

Stephen, Isabel and Ann,
I have such fond memories of your dad and family! It was always a special event when you came to Provo to visit. It seems that within minutes of your arrival, Uncle Bud would have identified a door or window that needed fixing and he'd get right to work. I have fond memories camping and hiking with him - and all my kids know that he is the one to teach me how to get a tight roll on my sleeping bag. He showed genuine interest in my mission to Japan and liked to talk about the Japanese language and people. Love to each of you and your families! I wish I could be in town Saturday to join with you, but know my thoughts and prayers are there with you. I remember him always having a twinkle in his eye. "Ok Troops! Let's go!"
Love your cousin,
