I didn't get to know George as well as I would have liked, but it was obvious that he was a great husband, father and grandfather. I know he was very close to his children, and his legacy lives on in his children. Whenever I look into his grandson, Dalton's eyes, I see George. Deepest sympathy for his family's loss.

My heart is heavy as I do not know how to convey our sorrow at learning of your loss Charlene, Nicholena, Marlena, Dorian, accompanying spouses and beloved grandson, Dalton, (and yes during visits with George, he shared with me just how happy and blessed he was to be able to spend so much time with Dalton.
When Mike and my children were young and played out back, I always enjoyed conversing with George and you, Charlene, through the fence. George was always patient, helpful, and willing to share his knowledge and views on what was going on around us. He spoke with such pride and love concerning, you, the girls and Dorian and their involvement in sports, schooling, jobs and later, careers. George definitely knew the value of hard work, and he was a true inspiration by his example! What wonderful neighbors you've been. George and I shared many conversations about your tree that hung over our shared fence in the corner of your backyard: how beautiful it was in the Spring with its glorious blossoms, a wonderful source of shade in the Summer, and the fabulous colors of the leaves in the Fall. It magnified the pride and joy George had for your yard and home. I was so sorry when the tree had to be cut down, and I miss it still.
Time passed, our children grew, going back to work took its toll on our friendship...and I truly regret not having had priorities straight. I can't change what slipped away, but I want you to know our lives have been blessed by having George, you, and your family in them. When Donna called, I was shattered to hear George's fight was finished, that you all were grieving; and I sort of shut down. I had no clue how we could be there for you. In my heart, I hope you know that we love you, and we are praying that you will find strength and courage in one another; you will take time to share your memories and happy times; and your trials and joys. Keep in touch with us. We can help if you will let us know your needs...please call us Charlene. With thoughts of all of you, Mike, Pam, Michelle, Jake, Luke, and Kylene Perrin

My dearest Char. I have sorrow in my heart and tears in my eyes that George could not stay. We prayed that he would but it was not meant to be. What a handsome little boy he was. To Nicolena, Marlena and Dorian. I know how your hearts are breaking. But the biggest blessing a child could ever ask for is to be born to parents who are honorable, faithful and love their children with dignity and honesty. Your broken hearts will mend with the wonderful memories that will be remembered throughout your life times. You will cry because you miss him but you know he has earned his angel wings and is wearing them proudly. He was an honorable man. Faithful to your mother and to you. Never forsook his commandments and accomplished what it took to love you so. Bless your broken hearts and they will mend as you go through your lives remembering all the sweet memories of this wonderful man who stepped forward to be your father and husband to your wonderful mother.
