Howard will be missed by all the jewelry community in the Intermountain area. He was honest as the day is long, and always treated everyone with respect. He was a good friend, and raised some great children who also graced the jewelry business.

Lane, I was sorry to read about your father. I remember him from the shop. My father had also dealt with him several times. My condolances to you and your family. Sherie Brinkerhoff

I remember barely being able to peer over Howard's jewelry counter at the age of five while my mother purchased a Speidel locket and bracelet for me. It remains a very special childhood treasure and memory. Mine and all of my girls' wedding sets came from his Time Shop. Howard was a man worthy of our trust. Seems like I always ended up buying jewelry whenever Howard said, "I can fix this while you wait," a terrific sales ploy.

Dearest Lynda and John,
We send our love and assure you that you have been in our prayers as we were recently made aware of Howard's declining health. We are sorry to have not been in town to make it to his bedside recently, but look forward to seeing you on Monday.
Our reflections on Howard are all so very positive! We have so many wonderful memories of him. He was such a devoted husband and father and he always had time to provide the one-on-one service and care in every way, whether it was a watch repair, battery or kind thought of encouragement which were all so frequent.
We felt of him like the Lord felt of Hyrum Smith: "We loved Howard because of the integrity of his heart, and because he loved that which is right before the Lord."
Lynda and John, we pray that both you will be blessed with a peaceful feeling in your hearts, knowing that Howard is free of pain and that he lives forever in joy. May you be comforted by your own solid testimony of God's plan of happiness, knowing that the covenant path which you and Howard have walked together will bring you eternal happiness together.
John, thank you for your phone call as we were leaving for South Carolina. We are sorry that it was not possible to join with you at his bedside, but you have been in our thoughts and prayers. We return from Tennessee on Sunday night and will plan to see you on Monday.
God be thanked for this great neighbor and friend, whose positive influence for good has been a source of inspiration to all who knew him.
With love beyond words,

My condolences to the family and loved ones of Howard M. Logsdon, who was my cousin. My mother, Erma Logsdon Adams(who's been gone for many years) was the sister of Uncle Howard P. Logsdon and I remember always enjoying visits to Uncle Howard and Aunt Elsies house, but I was about 12-13 when he died.
I was married in 1973 and we bought my wife's wedding band from the Time Shop on South Temple(my mother wouldn't have had it any other way).
I hope your good memories of your dad and grandpa will comfort you in the days to come.
PS. I found this photo of some of your family in my scanned photos. I'm not in the picture, but I see Aunt Leona and Uncle Wayne Hansen, My dad and mom, Arza and Erma Adams, Howard and some of his family. I'm guessing that Uncle Howard took the picture. I'm not in it so I'm not sure where it was taken.
