When I last saw Neil in February he told me that he was ready to pass from this life. Little did I know it would be the last time that I would be able to speak to him. He was a wonderful man always making people smile and laugh with his dry sense of humor. I am forever grateful to have know him. All though many people did not get him. I sure loved and admired him for his faithfulness and his kindness. He will be missed. Debbie and Andy I want you to know that I am thinking of you. I am sure that you are feeling the pains of loss. I will keep you forever in my prayers that you will have the comforting feeling that Neil is doing the lords work on the other side of the vail.

Sending love with my sadness at Neil's passing to Debbi and Andy. I learned to love and appreciate this family for many years. I married and moved to Norway a few years back but will never forget how Neil and Debbi made me smile when I visited them. Love you Debi and miss you! May the Lord comfort you in missing Neil. He will add some joy and laughter wherever he is now and a strong testimony of the Gospel! Here is my email,

Just thinking of Neil & our conversations
Always makes me a better person.
That's because Neil was always being his better self
More often than the rest of us. Or so it seemed to me.
Which is why Neil was always making me a better person.
Can't wait till our next conversation.
There's still so much for you to teach me.

I am so sorry to hear about Neil. He was one of my first Home Teaching companions. May the sweet comfort of the Gospel of Jesus Christ bring hope and peace to all of us. Your Friend, Kyle Hansen

Neil and I had some real heady conversations while serving at Jordan River Temple. I appreciate his strong and deep sense of humor, his determination in family history, his testimony of The Lord, Jesus Christ, and his pride in his genealogical legacy. God bless his family.
