Evergreen Jr. High, class of '58
Mr. Williams, as guidance counselor at Evergreen Jr. High, commanded authority and kept the school in some semblance of order. As my journalism teacher he commanded nothing--except respect and appreciation for introducing us so well to a fascinating subject about which we knew little. In talking with him in his senior years, the admiration continued as I learned of his multidimensional career and Church service. Despite health challenges, a life well-lived by a very good man. My deepest sympathies.
So sorry to read of Russ's passing! He lived a wonderful, long productive life and influenced many for good. I've thought of you folks often, and remembered the good times we had when we all lived in Rose Park. Grant has been gone 6 years now. Two years ago I remarried with a wonderful close friend of many years who had also lost his spouse. We are very happy and enjoy our life together. My thoughts of comfort and love are with you.

To The Williams Family:
We were so sad to read of the passing of our cousin Russ. We last seen him at my mother's funeral Marian Shill Roberts. Barbara and I was so hoping to get with Russ on some family genealogy. Barbara and I just want you to know you are in our prayers. We pray that the Lord will comfort you at this time.
