We've missed Lorraine these past weeks and wanted all of her family to know some of the ways she has touched our family's life: She called me (and many) by my first name, making me feel that I was important to her. She laughed easily-which brings a flashback from the good old days playing Tripoley with her. Her home seemed to always be open to Kodiak parties and crazy games like Ferocious Gorilla. She was fun to serve with-whether shucking corn at the church cannery or playing Lucy and Ethel at Deseret Soap factory. Her compassionate service went way beyond-we were once the grateful recipients of a complete roast beef dinner. You could feel how well she knew the gospel when she contributed and guided Sunday lessons as either teacher or student. She was dedicated to serving the Lord and her family. Several of our daughters were blessed to have her as their Primary teacher. One daughter remembers always feeling good and warm in her class. Another said she felt very loved by her hugs, and they all remember she always had a smile (and tinted glasses). Brad and I have always received a warm welcome in Lorraine's home (even being Ute grads) ;). It is easy to love such a choice woman, example, and friend. With our love and sympathy, Marianne Broadbent Caldwell

Dear Karren Family,
It has been a great pleasure to know your mother. I consider her a grand lady. She was Relief Society President in our ward when I was growing up and held a special Relief Society in her home for the 18 and 19 year old girls. I'm sure this took a lot of extra work on her part and was so appreciated. It is still remembered this many years later. I am Becky's visiting teacher and have loved talking to both Lorraine and Becky-lucky me! My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Love to all.

Our condolences to the family. Lorraine was proud of her pioneer ancestors. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers since 2001. She was a great example to others.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Grandmas really are the best, and I know Katie loved her so much. Hope you can all feel of her love through this difficult time. Much love,Amy Little (Friend of Katie)
