Just visited chevyasylum.com for the first time in a long time and found out about Ray's passing. So sorry to hear he is gone. I worked with Ray at IHC and we talked cars all the time. I would check his website from time to time to keep up with his builds. Rest in peace Ray!

I met Ray thru Bonneville and we developed a great friendship over 7 years. Then we worked together on one of the great build diaries in automotive history as we documented the construction of Marlo Treit's Target 550 streamliner. Without Ray the build diary would never have achieved the success that it has enjoyed. We were so happy to have Ray as a crew member on the team. Knowing Ray improved my life. He shared, he educated and we loved one another. It couldn't be better than that.

Ray was a great man who's life was forged and refined through a series of experiences. He had and indomitable knack for deciphering a puzzle whether it was a computer program, a car part or a relationship. His efforts to right the wrongs in life were a lesson to us all. His absence will long be lamented.
Light the Tires Up one more time for Big Daddy Ray
