We just now read Verls obituary while scanning the site. We loved Verl, Joyce, and all their children. Great man, great family. The last association we had with Verl was when we saw him at the temple as he and we, were all serving as ordinance workers. He had a great demeanor about him. We feel badly that we did not know sooner because we surely would have attended his services.

My condolences to your family. I knew Verl when he worked at the refinery; such a nice man. I enjoyed seeing him when he would stop by to visit occasionally. I worked in Human Resources or Employee Relations as it was called back then. You must be very proud of him and all his accomplishments in life. God bless you.

Verl was a fine man who was faithful in every calling he received in the Winder Stake where he lived for many years. As a member of the stake presidency with responsibility for youth, we relied on Verl to direct the sports and other activities in a most responsible way. Mever did I have any need to direct him. He was also very good in his new work of earth moving in any way.
When the Winder Stake was divided and we no longer had him in our stake, we would still meet once in a while, we found him still steady and proud of his family.
We lost track of him when we went to Hawaii for three years of temple assignment. It was a pleasure to see all that he had done in the later years.
Bernice and I send our heartfelt condolences to his family some of whom we knew as good young people in the stake. They may not remember us, but we remember them and trust they are still as faithful as they and their father were.
We regret that we are not able to visit in person.

My condolences to the family. May the God of all comfort give you the strength to cope with your loss.
