I send my condolences to the family. I lived with your grandma and grandpa in 1958 to 1960. My prayers go out to you, and may your Dad rest in peace. You were very blessed to have him to this age. God bless you. All my love and and prayers. Mary Lu Baumbach, Des Moines, IA.

I wish to extend my sincere sympathy to all of Battista's family. He & my uncle worked at the WHO tower in Mitchellville back in the 50s. A few yrs ago they got to reunite & reminisce & I had the privilege of tagging along. Though some of the conversation was technical & electronic, I could clearly see what a gem of a guy he was & got a sense of his kind heart, keen intellect, dignity & integrity. May God & His Spirit bring you comfort, hope & strength in the many difficult days ahead.

I would like the family to know that I am grateful for the many years of faithful dedication Bus and Fran gave to the All Saints Community. I first met them as a student at All Saints School. As the years passed and their health faded, they always welcomed my greeting at Mass with a smile. While they haven't physically attended there in a while, the ripple effect of their kindness and generosity is still being felt. May peace be with and the mercy of God the Father comfort you.

Mary,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time.

I lived next door to him when I was between four and five years old. He took me under his wing, and spent time with me because I was a young boy without a father. He was such a good man. That was 50 years ago and I still remember him dearly.
