I did not know Diane personally, but I did know of her dedicated service to the Iowa Workforce Development Board. She was a dedicated public servant who has improved the job opportunities and thus the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you her loved ones.

Diane was interviewing for her job with the state in Dennis Fetter's office when I first met her. We shared many, many state council experiences over the years. She was a gem to be around. What a shocker to have her life ended so soon. Lisle, you are in my prayers.

She was pregnant with her son Greg, when I first met Diane. It was my first day working for the state at OPP. We talked about our kids over the years as mine were about the same age as hers. Sharing a laugh about things that occurred at work and in our lives. She was a sweetheart and will be missed by a great deal of folks....including me. In hindsight, I wished I had hugged her tighter at her retirement get together. I didn't realize it would be my last chance. God bless you Diane. I will be there to say goodbye one last time on Wednesday.
